The Elephant in the Room

I have been conspicuous by my absence.

Seen in an alleyway, Vancouver BC

Nevertheless, an elephant never forgets.

And the writing, as ever, is on the wall.

  1. Such depth and rich colors in this scene, complete with an elephant and a bit of a mystery. Is that a window?

    Nice to see you back!

    1. Nice to see you here, Genie! That mysterious little opening at the bottom of the wall looks like it was a window, or perhaps a coal chute (?) sometime in the past. It seems to be boarded up now. Honestly, I was surprised to find that picture in my photgraphic gatherings of that day, having just dashed through the area on my way to somewhere else. It wasn't really a place to linger...

  2. Hey - yesterday I needed a feng shui amulet for my career corner, and what should I come across and choose but an arty postcard you once gave me. It now temporarily sits over my front door superimposed on a tree plaque (for growth). If I get the job I'll let you know.

    1. Most graffiti is simply irresistible, I find! Especially because it doesn't move. Happy you haven't forgotten me, either, Jann.

    1. So nice to be welcomed back by you, Roxana. As Dr. Seuss put it,

"I meant what I said and I said what I meant
An elephant's faithful one hundred percent!"
