I miss fog actually ;( We don't get much here, being landlocked... I was captured by the flapping Canadian flags in the background... It stirs my blood...I cry when I hear the National anthem 0:) I have Canadian ancestry (Nova Scotia)... Must be in the DNA Sigh... I'll have a hot dog please - no dollop...
But you did get snow!! I had forgotten that Vancouver gets foggy. I rather like the mysterious atmosphere it lends to the scenery, though it is chilly, damp and penetrating. The Oh Canada anthem makes you cry??? They went and change some of the words to it a few decades ago and I can't even sing it any more...not that I have much call to do so. One dollop-free hot dog coming right up for you! It's on me (the treat, not the dollop).
Great shot, Lynne. And it's been a while since I've had a tasty hot dog (Canadian Tire's canteen probably being the last time). Load up the condiments for me please but DOOO hold the mayo. ;)
I corrected my typo but originally I had DOOO hold the mayor. That matters more in Toronto though. CRACKing up, here. ;)
Didn't even see the pigeon lurking until you mentioned mayonnaise ! Strategically placed, that impertinent pigeon posed and poised to plaster passersby with pungent poop !
I'ts nearing the 7th heaven of snowmobiling 'round here. In the snow forest - as the Longtrack approaches warp speed - any bit of the world that can still be seen wraps in the white beard of Odin.
Like a ray of sunshine, the yellow-submarine hotdog stand!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect name for the stand! It was like a beacon, beckoning me...how could I resist? Not quite as sophisticated as Dremels. ;)
Deletegreat pic but are those all water bottles?
ReplyDeleteIndeed, they are. Although bottled gin and tonics would not be remiss, I think the hot dog cart hasn't got a liquor license.
DeleteLike Merisi said, the yellow umbrella looks like the sun poking out of the fog. Wonderful & fun photo Lynne!
ReplyDeleteWe take sunshine in any form that we can find it, out here on the "wet" coast! :D
DeleteWhat a fun shot! Beware that seagull (as you say!)
ReplyDeleteAm happy to report that no unrequested condiments appeared in my hot dog, thankfully!

Love the contrast of the dull with the bright yellow....not a real fan of hot dogs with 'mayonnaise'...
