Looks like I'm not in Lotus Land any more, but some would have it that I've returned to Paradise.

My cohort, Pierre, kept himself very busy tending his garden during the two months that I was out west and now I get to savour the fruits...er...veggies of his labours.

Here's a sight I didn't see out in Vancouver too often...
or ever.

And here's a scene I never get tired of trying to photograph, out walking along the lake road.

I'm back in the hills, back in the maritimes, back in blogland.

I just have to get my ass act in gear!

  1. Welcome back Lynne. Your veggies are lovely and no doubt delicious ...... I love the colours and wildness in gardens at the end of summer. Will the tomatoes ripen before winter?

    Enjoy Autumn!

    1. Hi Ruby,
Thanks for the welcome back! It actually took me a few days before I wandered out to the garden to see what Pierre had done and I was quite delightedly stunned by its lush beauty. Saw another friend's garden today, and you are so right about the wonderful colours and wildness of end-of-summer gardens. As for the unripened tomatoes left hanging on the vines...the gardener himself left a reply to you below...

So looking forward to autumn--my favourite time of year.

  2. Welcome back to Newbeeland where one is reborn with every season! RE: FDW... No doubt some tomatoes won't ripen but some are and some will. The foliage was attacked by some blight infestation. There's basically no more foliage left. Any suggestion?

    1. Reborn with every season? Well, I'll have to ponder that awhile. But certainly the seasons here are very distinct, one from the other, each requiring their own "costumes" for humans and vegetation alike. And thank you for the warm welcome back to Newbeeland!

    1. Oh thank you, Roxana! How sweet to have my re-entry noticed and applauded. I'm looking forward to sharing again, after a season of gathering and hoarding. Each to his or her own manner of sowing and reaping...and each supplying their own form of sustenance (veggies vs art?) ;)
