Seeing Red

These two images that I brought back from Montreal just seemed to go together.

  3. The pup is too well dressed to be a peon. The hydrant, however . . .

  4. This is ridiculous: his hoodie is on backwards. How is he supposed to get his paws in the pockets?! Some owners just don't think.

  6. Anya,
Can you imagine trying to put shoes on a cat?!

  8. Jill,
That's so funny! But on closer inspection, it seems that the pockets of the hoodie are sewn onto the wrong side. Maybe it was a first-time sewing attempt (I speak from experience of being pocket-challenged myself: Just ask my husband!)

  9. Poor little puppee, he didn't do the damage -- it was the snow, damn it, or maybe he has buddies with higher aspirations.

  10. Your mind never stops does it??
    hahaha...

...cute dog... but he looks a bit embarrassed that you saw him that way...

do you suppose a dog could feel that way...

  11. Hi Shirl,
His pooch buddies must have not only higher aspirations but longer legs!

  12. Hi Gwen,
It's debatable whether my mind never stops, or never really kicks in.

I had the same impression when I saw the little critter, that he looked very self-conscious in his outfit. I saw him get very excited when another little dog passed by...probably because that dog was naked. Okay, I see what you mean about my mind.

  13. Lynne, your mind is a vast topic... I wonder what we would find if we could get inside it and really explore all the nooks and crannies and crevices and crevasses and halls and ballrooms and bars and galleries and fields and forests and oceans... yep, I imagine it could be a long and arduous undertaking to try to map out that mind of yours... but whatever... just keep it turned on... or turned off, whichever works best. As for that dog, he looks positively sheepish. And the fire hydrant is obviously corroding from years of being vigorously peed on... by dogs of all sizes and heights and velocities...

    Cheers !
    :-)

  14. BrOwen,
It would be nice, really, to be able to turn one's mind off at will. Or at least to rein it in a little, from time to time. I'm sure, if you were indeed able to make a mind map of it, one of the twisty tributaries you'd discover would be labelled "Owen." Now that, I am positive, would be present one heck of a wild and colourful jungle-river ride of exploration, tracing it back to its source of hyperbole and surrealeastic images from Magic Lantern Land!

  15. Unrot ? I would have translated that directly from the french... un rot... = a belch, a burp...

    ;-)

  16. Ah yes, "rotter" to burp in French. As opp. to being an English rotter.
