Contemplation

Sometimes it's necessary to slow down the mind, the connections, the obligations, even the imagination, and just stand centered in the contemplation of being.

Still the thoughts.  Dwell with your true self in this moment.

Perhaps the vision, the feelings, the awareness will shift; focus soften; breath deepen...

or impressions may take on a sharper focus, a different tone; reveal a slightly altered point of view.

Possibly, one's whole perspective will be turned on its head and new possibilities emerge.

Whatever happens, it is all good,
if one can be at peace in the moment.

  1. Lynne, I felt my pulse slow down looking at these images. Gorgeous. Thank you for a bit of respite in a hectic day.

  3. Yes - Beautiful contemplative piece - both photos and writing. I found myself breathing deeply and relaxing... "stand in the contemplation of being"..... "Be at peace in the moment." Lovely.... I needed this reminder! Thank you!

  9. What a nice series of pictures, and I love the different perspective at the end. Water in most of its forms is quite fascinating to watch, and you are so right, it is a good thing to do sometimes to slow down and watch how it changes, yet does not change.

Funny how deep meditation can merge with deep sleep, seamlessly... just as dreams and waking can slip in and out of one another... In any case, were you to speak, oh oracle, methinks the hibernating consciousness might just be able to hear you...
