    1. Gwen,
Sometimes they're just handed to one and all that's left to do is push the button. I think it looks surreal.

  2. This is a beautiful shot as Gwen says. Even the little boat is enormous.

    1. Danielle,
It's hard to say just how much smaller the little boat was in relation to the larger one due to the perspective but also because of the size of the surrounding mountains. These things are graceful behemoths!

  3. Something very magical about this scene. The boats remind me of a mama duck with her baby behind her... I know they're huge, but they kind of look like toys from this vantage point.

    1. jann,
Yes, they do look like toy boats. Perhaps I set it all up...toy boats sitting on a mirror, set in front of a photo from North American Geo magazine! A little Photoshopping and hey presto! A different form of "quackery" (to carry your duck allusion a little further).

  4. Things shared, indeed make them double. Wonderful journey it seems to be. Please enjoy your time.

    1. Robert,
I so often love your point of view as it's seen from a slightly different angle than my eyes are accustomed to! Things becoming double because they are shared--wonderful! I've never thought of it quite like that before.

Right place at the right time with a camera at hand! Glad you like it.

  8. Oh, it looks as if the whole thing is made out of glass or something. Fascinating shot.

  9. Jenny,
I was pretty excited by the sight myself. Such stillness.
