Going Round The Bend

The new year has begun...

who knows what lies around the bend.

I may be gullible...

but I like to think that the tides will bring us all sorts of positive changes and inspiration,
allowing us to take flight in new and more imaginative ways.

Good things come to those who wait...but better ones come to those who go out and find them!  Maybe...we'll see...

  1. After spending now two days with my son walking through the neighbourhood, I've come to the feeling, that spring might already be near, and even if only in thoughts.

A safe step ahead for you and a good Tuesday as well.

  2. I'm taking your words to heart and hoping this will be the case. These last three years have been rough, to say the least, but something tells me 2012 is my year! Keeping my fingers crossed! Love the shot of the seagull! :)

  8. Robert,
Spring is in the air where you are? Surely it is a frame of mind, which I would say is a good thing. Wishing you happy stepping through the year ahead!

    Bella,
I guess all we can do is make the most of what comes our way. Lemons and lemonade, and all that sweet and sour stuff. I hope your intuition about this being your year is right on. Make it so!

    Laura,
Thanks! So nice to receive praise from someone who's so adept at making pretty pix herself.

    Catherine,
I've enjoyed your comments here, and following you on your explorations over on your blog. I'm happy that you'll be going round the bend with me.

    Audrey,
Out with the old, yes...except for the multitude of images I have stockpiled from past excursions. Will you forgive me if I delve into my "tickle trunk" (remember that from Mr. Dress-up?) from the recent past from time to time? I love having you along for the ride and get a real kick out of the fact that you recognize so many of my haunts. Wishing all the best for 2012.

    jann,
You are so right--there was just an endless supply of beautiful sights around that bend, walking along the seawall in Vancouver's Stanley Park. The dull grey weather did nothing to dampen the spirits or the sights. Bundle up, though, jann-I doubt that you're used to this sort of cold.

    DCW,
I can always trust you to come up with a fine tern of phrase.

  9. Lovely shots. I think that creature is just out looking for fun. Cyndi Lauper said it best.. "gulls just wanna have fu-un."
