Although flowers do not speak, they give a message loud and clear that someone across the miles cares and loves you. Isn't that what sisters are all about?
Shirl, A loving thought made manifest, yes. I hope I'll get a chance to explore the whole sister thing a little more in depth in the not too distant future. Plant a seed, and let it grow...
Stickup Artist, You got that right! Colour and warmth and hints of spring, summer, exotic climes are doubly appreciated when glimpsed from this wasteland of white. Even as I write this today, it continues to snow, snow, snow...But I've got my flowers to keep me warm!
Thanks, Patricia! Yes to the floral industry is right. The dear woman who delivered the posies had to slog on foot through the freshly fallen snow on our driveway as we hadn't been ploughed out yet. The flowers will definitely go on giving with all the photo ops they provide, which is not the case with chocolate. I have been much celebrated this past weekend, and feel very blessed. :-)
Great interpretation of the flowers, love it! (Of course I would have sent you something bigger and flouncier but thats virtual reality for you!) OH, my WV is about a lady of the night I think 'shesisi"
Clearly this blog is a conspiracy to fill a sister with guilt for not calling. I think Shirl had it right - clearly someone across the miles cares and loves you :)
Saj, Between you and our BrOwen sending me virtual bouquets, I'm going to have to get a new blog to house them all! Either that or open up a used virtual flower shop.
Roxana, I have to say that these colours are a welcome relief from the severe snow blindness I'm suffering these days! Yes, to getting lost in their maze of blazing colours! Let me not emerge from there until spring has sprung (round about mid-April).

ReplyDeleteWell, yes, it seems that someone does like me. You sound surprised!
I will dig out a few virtual vases in anticipation of the virtual flowers you'll be sending my way.

Driftwood,
ReplyDeleteYup, flower power still rocks my world!
Yes to the floral industry. Yes to the dear hearts that think to send posies in the snow. Better than chocolate...at least I think so.
ReplyDeleteCelebrate and be happy!
Thanks, Patricia!
