  1. Hi Lynne ! So sorry to hear you've had a mechanical problem with an ankle ! Sh*t! That's a nuissance, hope it doesn't slow you down too much. Sheeesh, what happened? Did the raccoons harrass you into running off the porch too fast into a rabbit hole or something? The last time I had a sprained ankle, and I'm susceptible to get them, it was when an extremely aggressive office chair grabbed and twisted my foot while I was trying to walk by it... I give them a wide berth now !

Love your "noisy" photos here, the mood is palpable, good catch of Edna going by the window... clearly you have the reflexes needed to take good street photos, if while eating pizza sloshed down with beer you were still able to get this shot!

    Wow, take care o' yo'self...

  2. Stepped on a rock and fell off my circus shoes. No raccoons involved in the unhappy incident, though I do believe I heard some high-pitched giggling emanating from the abandonned house as I limped by.

  3. Well, at least you have an excuse now to spend plenty of quiet time not moving around much, with the foot up, and posting happily away, catching up on the backlog of a lifetime of photos and stories that I rather suspect you have quite a goldmine full of... and to read Fowles too... did your library have The Ebony Tower and Daniel Martin ? Hope it mends fast! The last time I was on crutches for 4 weeks, and then had to do weeks of re-education, jumping on a little trampoline...

  4. Owen--4 wks. on crutches??? Man, I danced on stage with an Ace bandage around my ankle and a shot of some pain-numbing substance in my foot! Not this time, mind you, but I'm about ready to turn in my crutches today--last day at the mines. Limping about the office, playing the sympathy card. Chocolate cake promised for farewell kiss-off this afternoon. Parting is such sweet sorrow?

Have "Daniel Martin" on call from the local library--they will import it for me. Summer reading in the swing, yesssssss.
