Jann, Yeah, that sounds about right. Except that this isn't really a tree but bunches of boughs, sticks and firewood stuck in a plant pot and decorated. Glad it works for you.
Laura, Merry Christmas to you, too. I still have time to say that, yes? The decorations add fun and frivolity, yet contain it within a convenient framework. Less mess to clean up once the holidays are over.
Hilary, Me and mine and a few borrowed have had a lovely time, as we continue to do...still lots of goodies and good cheer on hand. Wishing you ongoing merriment!
Dear Lynne, Like a spinning top of light, shining, shining... Getting here a bit late for Xmas, and early for New Years, but wishing you happy, happy holidays, full of light.
Have been so busy with festivities, and eating of leftovers, and la Grenouille had the flu for four days after Xmas, so trying to keep house and home together, and of course the FB flood, that I've been having trouble getting over here to Blogland. But you know I am thinking of you fondly and warmly and often.
Btw, it's been ages since we heard anything about the raccoons... are they still out there ? Building themselves igloos these days, I'd reckon ?
Owen, I have some raccoon photos that I took elsewhere, that is, not in my own back yard, that I have been saving up for you (ie. haven't got around to posting). Our own furry bandits seem to have moved out or on. In fact, our friends across the street admitted recently to having trapped a couple and driven them to a distant forest.
I am quite thrilled that you managed to pull your head out of the all-enveloping bosom of Facebook and find your way back to Blogland's welcoming arms for a wee visit. "Home" for the holidays!
Sorry La Grenouille was feeling off-colour; glad you were up to the task of caregiver. If no one is contagious over there--hugs to you and yours, too! xo
Jenny, Lovely to see you stopping by on a snow evening and encouraging me to keep on blogging. I sometimes wonder if I will go on so it's great to have a little nudge in that directions.
Wonderful colours. A Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robert for all the colourful comments that you've left here over the years, lifting my spirit and making me smile.
DeleteLooks like you were tossing back Christmas grog & twirling around your tree while shooting this. Merry, indeed!!! Gorgeous.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.....those colours are wonderfully warm and vibrant
ReplyDeleteSame to you, Catherine. Vibrant warm colours much needed in these parts for relief from the grey and the white. More white on its way.
DeleteBeautifully alive with color. Merry Christmas!

i so love the blur between red and yellow, in the bottom part of the image, how the globe seems to be dissolving in the light...
ReplyDeleteall my warm and tender thoughts of happiness for you and for your dear ones, Lynne!
