It's funny what one might happen to notice while looking at something else. Rather like that famous quote of John Lennon about how life happens while you're busy making plans.
While making my way along the corridor in the seabus station the other day, I was taken by the graphic aspect--all those strong lines and planes--of the neighbouring buildings, as well as the reflection of the Sears tower in the windows.
But when checking the image in my camera, I noticed Waldo standing there with an umbrella
(well, it is Vancouver).
Of course I had to zoom in for a closer look, as much as my little Canon Powershot would allow
(not quite up to spy capacity).
Waldo obligingly turned sideways for a profile shot.
Just a few minutes later, while collecting a visiting friend from her 23rd storey hotel room where I was busily gobbling up the city view through the immense windows, I happened to notice Waldo across the way, standing nonchalantly on a rooftop...
while just below him, Mrs. Waldo was busy swimming laps in what appears to be a human aquarium.
I suppose the lesson to be learned here is to keep your eyes peeled and expect the unexpected.
Note: Much like Waldo, I've been a bit hard to find in Blogland these days. Have been happily engaged meeting up with old friends and getting out and about, to say nothing of the 30-classes-in -30-days Yoga Challenge I'm involved in (parting gift from Pierre; I guess he was making sure I'd stay out of trouble). I do have a stash of photos laid by now and hope to be present here a little more regularly but...you know what John Lennon said.
