It looks something like this.  Sort of a combination of a hop and a Mick Jagger strut.






This is a favourite view of mine, looking down Granville towards downtown and the mountains.

If I was a fish, I don't think I'd feel all that comfortable floating in a fish tank in a sushi restaurant.  I think this fellow has a distinctly worried look on his face.

The furnace is not working.  Or the thermostats.  Little matter, both scenarios mean no heat.  Other than the blazing fire that my mother got going in the fireplace

Alas, the fireplace is where most of the heat stays.
 Still, it gives a nice illusion of warmth.

It's pretty much required that you stop at the bottom of the street once you arrive to take a picture of the Deep Cove marina.



I was quite touched that they'd hung out a "Welcome Home" flag for me.

I used to come to this park when I was a teenager; it was my first real awareness of "being in nature."

And on my first day "home" yesterday this quirky little car tickled my funny bone, with its bulbous headlight eyes and humpbacked shape, slightly reminiscent of a Citroen 2CV, but hailing from the Orient.  It was parked in front of a yoga studio because this is, after all, Lotus Land where everyone dresses like they're on their way to a yoga class or a mountain hike or a double latté.

but when I checked the image in the camera, I discovered there was a horse in the field.  Seeing the possibility of blog fodder, I went closer to investigate.

This gives a new connotation to the word "snowmobile,"  as well as some idea as to the amount of snow that has fallen.
